Romanian Model 1879 T-back bayonet Steyr

Manufactured by Steyr for the M1879 Peabody Martini rifle used by Romania. A copy of the French M1874 Gras rifle bayonet but without step on the handgrip. 20 ½ inch blade and marked with the Steyr logo on the ricasso with date 1881. Non adjustable muzzle ring and crossguard is fastened with 2 rivets. Blade in very good condition, no markings on top. Steel scabbard is blued in good condition with evidence of corrosion.
