Description

Original German World War One Imperial German Model M15 lobster tail helmet. Worn by heavy cavalry troops Cuirassiers. Original larger Cuirassier helmet plate and taller spike. The helmet spike is removable. Original leather chinstrap. No cockades. Interior has well worn leather liner and much is still remaining but detaching from the helmet. Exterior is bright steel with overall brown patina and some rust spots. Minor dents from normal wear and tear and one chinstrap post is pushed into the helmet slightly as shown in photo. Interior of helmet has original black paint with green paint on the underside of the front peak. Shell size 57 stamped on rim at rear of helmet. Maker name E. Juncker and date 1916 clearly marked on crown.
