Pattern 1907 cut down fighting knife
$495.00
British made (Sanderson) Pattern 1907 bayonet with Enfield proofs that has been cut down to an 8 inch blade fighting knife. Difficult to determine who did the cutdown but the clip point pattern was a favorite of the Australians and thinking is that they did this for use against the Japanese late in WWII. Supporting that theory would be the presence of the early pattern small frog button scabbard marked to 2nd Military District (73652) on the scabbard throat. Locket is marked Star A for early Lithgow manufacture and has been professionally shortened, not a third world country hack job. Very unusual modification.
