Description

The Smatchet is a “sterile” weapon manufactured during World War II for the Office of Strategic Service (OSS) Command, forerunner of the US CIA for use by OSS operatives and local resistance fighters against German and Axis troops. It was made by W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company but has no markings as requested by OSS so that the country of origin could not be determined. Parkerized blade with walnut grips and a cast pot metal pommel cap with a hole for a leather lanyard loop. Original very good to excellent condition. Guaranteed original.
