H.W. Mortimer, London. Gun Makers to His Majesty (George III). Double barrel pocket pistol by esteemed UK gunmaker circa late 1700/early 1800 period. 3 inch barrels, calibre appears to be .40 or .42 flintlock with bore diameter 11mm at muzzle end. Unique longer barrel with action locking safety bar on top of receiver and folding trigger. Frizzen has been removed, not broken off. Flint clamp top screw appears to be a replacement. Action is sticky so needs restoration to free up all working parts. Very nice example as is or a great candidate for restoration and priced accordingly.
