Germany’s first metallic cartridge rifle. Made at Amberg with Crown over Amberg on top of receiver flat and dated 1880 on right receiver. Crown over L for King Ludwig on left receiver flat. Steel butt tang is regimentally marked B., 17R., R126 still visible. Bolt does not match the serial number of the rifle. Cal. 11 x 60R. Overall bright finish now has light patina. Stock cartouches are present but very faint and not legible. Bore is very good plus, shine with strong rifling. All working parts function as intended. Antique rifle, no license required to purchase or own.
