This is a conversion of Enfield Martini 1886 bayonet with fullered blade and leaf spring locking latch with distinctive EM converted release button. Ricasso dated 1887 (/87 issue into service date) with crown over VR very faint. Opposite side has broad arrow WD and Enfield inspection mark on ricasso. Birmingham inspection marks consistent with conversion removal of sight on muzzle ring and machining stepped muzzle ring. Crossguard bears Nepalese marking. Steel mounted leather scabbard is very good condition with Nepalese marking on locket.
