Pommel swivels to allow mounting on the rifle then swivels back to form a conventional knife handle. Beautiful post war blade pattern carried through on the No. 9, FN C1 and L1A1 series of bayonets. Brown Paxolin grips (a resin impregnated cloth composite), VG overall condition and well marked. M/78 code indicates manufacture by Elkington and Company of Birmingham. Scabbard is steel, original in used, good condition.
