Imperial German Model S15 Gottscho Machine Gunners Bayonet

Designed by Dr. Lucian Gottscho of Berlin and known as “The Machine-Gunner Bayonet” they were made in very limited numbers. Fits Gew 98 and Gew88 rifles. The bayonet has a clean 14 ½” long steel blade with fullers and is 19 ¾” overall length. Ricasso marked with S, W and a g inside a “vacuum tube” reportedly the mark of Dr. Lucian Gottscho, Berlin. The spine has an Imperial inspection mark. One piece wrap around wood grip.
