Hungary was an ally of Germany in WWII and permitted to copy the design of the German M35 steel helmet. Shape, rolled edge, vent holes are identical. The Hungarians added the distinctive bracket at the back of the helmet for carrying attached to a backpack. Stamped into the metal is GY66 with GY being the maker Gyor and 66 as the size. Original full length chinstrap.
