Description

Original 1939 dated gas mask in commercial carrying bag. Mask is in used, good condition, fragile, for display only. Waffenamt marked on rubber mask, complete with straps and buckles. Gas canister is maker marked and Waffenamt stamped. These were issued in cardboard boxes which eventually deteriorated from carrying the masks continuously so commercially available carrying bags were created. This is a well known pattern carrying bag with shoulder straps, cheap construction, missing front button. Very interesting German WWII home front civil guard item.
