Model 1871 rifle bayonet to fit the 11mm 1871 Mauser rifle. Maker is E. Wilhelm, Suhl. Spine marked with royal cypher of Wilhelm I of Prussia and dated 72 (1872). Regimentally marked on crossguard 4.G.R.4.98 and crossed out. Blade is in good condition, length 465 mm. Not sharpened. No scabbard.
