Description

Original M1917 helmet shell with unique and subtle camouflage pattern. Leather liner has not survived but the steel liner ring remains. Chinstrap is a period replacement repair. Note the wire attachment to chinstrap stud which has clearly been with the helmet since World War One. Interior crown has number Bi 307 as shown in photo. Surface shows wear and aging with some rust spots and is completely original.
