Known as the Karabingranate M1913 this was the first rodded rifle grenade used in the 1898 Mauser rifle. A percussion (impact fuzed) grenade fired from the Gew 98 using a blank cartridge. Range was adjusted manually by holding the rifle at different angles. Rod length 18 inches, overall length 24 ¾ inches. Copper gas check at end of rod. Very uncommon. Empty and inert.
