Original leather cartridge pouch for 8mm Mauser ammunition as carried in stripper clips. Inside top has some issue markings and is dated 1901. Pouch contains spring clips to hold the ammunition in stripper clips and not loose as in the 1871 type pouch. This pouch is smaller than the Model 1871 as shown in photo and is the one at the top in the comparison photo. Uncommon.
