Very unique Belgian made Type A FN FAL bayonet with flash hider prongs as part of the crossguard as used on early FN FAL rifles without flash hiders. Wood grips. Large flat catch ring at pommel. Unmarked except for electric penciled number 0224 at pommel. Steel scabbard is unmarked. Blade is parkerized for the first 30mm then bright and shows some staining. Possibly a trials bayonet for the Candaian, British and Australian X8 rifle trials in 1954.
