British Ordnance 1831 Pattern pistol, flintlock. Plain round barrel 4 ½ inches long with flat top and small button front sight. .68 inch bore. Proof marked barrel with crown on upper tang. Lock is marked Crown over GR Board of Ordnance mark and TOWER at tail of lock. Hammer works well on full and half cock. Trigger guard, butt cap with ring are both brass. Captive ramrod works perfectly. Very interesting compact flintlock pistol with superb workmanship and researchable history.
