The .380 Enfield revolver was developed by the British after WW1 to replace the .455 cal. service revolvers with a lighter and easier to use pistol. Calibre is .380 Enfield (.38 S&W). The Enfield No.2 Mk 1* and Mk 1** are double action only with hammer spur removed for use in vehicles to prevent the hammer spur catching on things. Sometimes called the “tanker” model. Undated wartime production at Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield marked DE**. Cocks and clicks double action. Cannot open or be disassembled. No license required to purchase or own.
