Lot of 2 items including a Colt 1851 Navy London contract revolver and British Pattern 1853 Cavalry swodd. This combination of arms would have been used by Canadian Militia officers stationed in Upper Canada circa 1855. The Colt pistol is Colt London production, British proofed, .36 cal. with 7 ½ inch octagonal barrel. Serial numbers match. Antique firearm, no license required to purchase. P1853 sword is proofed crown over M, handguard marked K over 7, scabbard B.F. over 34. Neither item has UC or Upper Canada marking.
