Canadian combat helmet made by C.L./C. 1943 and repurposed for Civil Defence use. Was painted Civil Defence blue and marked POLICE, subsequently repainted khaki. Original chinstrap. Dome nut is small bolt with period square nut as found on Civil Defence helmets rather than traditional Mk II dome fastener. Interesting home front collectable.
