Guaranteed original. Lock TOWER marked, Crown over GR, crown with arrow viewer’s mark. Right side of butt stock has clear stamping Crown/GR in script and there are two small proofs in the stock at the end of the trigger guard tang that do not show detail. The letters I.M stamped in the stock at the end of the flat left sideplate. Barrel has two period proofs that have been overstamped with another proof at some point. 37 inch smooth bore barrel, .75 inch bore, clear with light corrosion. Original ramrod is faintly marked and ramrod channel bears markings as shown including the name clearly stamped MARWOOD. Exceptional original condition Sea Service Musket.
