WWII era protective helmet for Civil Defence use, fire brigades, factory workers and even available at retail to civilians. Original, leather liner marked Denham & Hargrave Ltd, Atherstone, 1941.Shell marked M for Medium size and VMT 41 maker code. Suspension straps missing string but string “chinstrap” is present. Very researchable and interesting home defence item.
