Description

Very uncommon web cotton rifle case for WW1 era SMLE rifle. Material is reddish cotton fabric unlike the better known beige khaki web used in the WWII era cases. Opening flap is trimmed with leather edging and has a leather fastening strap and steel buckle. Front of case is marked with broad arrow. Maker name inside flap is the logo for COUNTRY SCREEN Co. Ltd. dated 1927.
