British Pattern 1903 bayonet

The 1903 Pattern bayonet was used with the Lee Enfield No. 1 Mk III (SMLE) rifle from 1903 until 1907 when the Pattern 1907 bayonet was adopted. The 1903 bayonet used the Pattern 1888 blade design with a pommel that fit the SMLE. Original condition, marked Crown over ER 1903 and dated 10 ’03. Broad Arrow, EFD marking manufactured at Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield. Comes in steel mounted leather scabbard of the Pattern 1888 bayonet type. Scabbard is sound and shows considerable wear from issue and use.
