Bayonet for Lee Metford or Long Lee Enfield rifles. Mk I Second type with cleanout hole in handle. Crown over VR marked with original manufacture date of 9, 99. Enfield manufacture (EFD) with Enfield proof and bend mark. Spine also Enfield proofed. Crossguard numbered 1208. Blade in very good condition. Grip has chip near crossguard as visible in photo. Complete with scabbard in good condition. Leather was painted black at some point and much is remaining.
