Description

Second Pattern 1859 naval bayonet with cross hatching pattern impressed into the hard leather grips. Unfullered blade 27 inches long and bayonet is 32 ½ inches overall length. Made on contract by German blade maker Weyersberg Bros. and bears their knight’s head logo as well as Solingen proofs Crown over S over numbers. Original, in very good condition. Steel mounted leather scabbard is very good condition with age patina on steel parts.
