Designed for the British Pattern 1853 rifle musket, it also fits others including the Snider Enfield conversion of the above rifle. Thumbnail type fuller. Ricasso has 3 line Enfield inspection stamp. Blade in original condition shows use in the field including pitting from firing the rifle with bayonet affixed. Brass mounted leather scabbard in good condition with some service wear. Clearly marked with British broad arrow, WD and numbering on locket. Chape has dent as shown in photo.
