Designed for the British Pattern 1853 rifle musket, it also fits others including the Snider Enfield conversion. Thumbnail type fuller, Ricasso has 2 line Enfield inspection stamp. Blade in very good condition. Brass mounted leather scabbard is in very good condition faintly marked broad arrow WD in the leather. Brass locket deeply stamped MLI over 86. Highly researchable.
