British Pattern 1804 Naval Seaman’s Cutlass

This is the first pattern naval cutlass issued to British seamen. Original with Crown over 8 proof mark on blade. No Royal Cypher is visible. Blade is very good with uniform dark patina. Overall length 34 inches, blade is 29 inches long. Handle is all steel with some original black paint remaining. Grip fitting to blade is slightly loose and it has some “wobble”.
