This is the first pattern naval cutlass issued to British seamen. Original with Royal Cypher GR marked into the blade and still visible. Also partial crown visible above the cypher. Blade is bright with uniform patina and very good condition. Overall length 34 inches, blade is 29 inches long. Handle is all steel with original black paint remaining. Very unique Napoleonic era sword.
