British Pattern 1804 Naval Cutlass with scabbard

This is the first pattern naval cutlass issued to British seamen. Original with Royal Cypher GR marked into the blade and still visible. Blade is very good with uniform patina. Overall length 34 inches, blade is 29 inches long. Handle is all steel with some original black paint remaining. The figure 8 handguard is marked with dots stamped into the metal as shown including a large M 10. Comes with uncommon leather scabbard that does not fit up to the handguard but leaves a gap a shown in photo.
