Uncommon British rifle grenade used in WWI circa 1915 introduction. This is the Mk II version with smooth taper to brass base piece to improve aerodynamics. Wind vane is complete but not marked. Body shows original paint remaining. Firing needle is present. Detonator cap is bakelite. No spring clip on this model nor is there evidence of screw holes to fasten one. Rod is 10 inches long (9 ¾ actual).
