British Mk 4 “Turtle Shell” helmet

1945 manufactured Turtle Shell shaped helmet that replaced the D-Day Mk III helmet of the same design. The Mk4 had chinstrap rings riveted lower down on the helmet for more stable wear and used a “lift the dot” fastener for the helmet liner. Original, maker marked BMB 1945 and F5 Mk 4. Cannot disassemble to determine liner size, possibly 7 1/4.
