155mm Extended Range Full Bore projectile (EFRB)
$795.00
Offered here is a Gerald Bull innovation in long range conventional artillery. The narrow projectile has raised areas specifically shaped to stabilize this long narrow shell in the gun barrel since the contact surface with the rifling is much less. The longer and narrower projectile improves aerodynamic properties thereby increasing range. Apparently accuracy suffered so the quantity sold was low. Marked with lot GEC-1- – 86 155mm A. Serial numbered and stamped INERT as well as having the word INERT painted on the outside of the projectile on two sides. Inert steel fuze. An exceptional item and very uncommon. Gerald Bull was a Canadian artillery design expert who designed the Iraqi Super Gun for Saddam Hussein (Project Babylon) and paid for that with his life in March 1990 at the hands of the Israeli Mossad.
