Model 1871 rifle bayonet to fit the 11mm 1871 Mauser rifle. Maker is H.R. Kirschbaum, Solingen. Spine marked with royal cypher of Wilhelm I of Prussia and dated 75 (1875) with proof fraktur below. Regimentally marked on crossguard. Very researchable. Blade is in very good condition, full length 47cm. Complete with brass mounted leather scabbard in very good condition, unmarked.
