Bayonet for Lee Metford or Long Lee Enfield rifles. Mk I Second type with cleanout hole in handle and hole in pommel to take cleaning rod. Very crisp Crown over VR dated 10 ‘ 96 and maker marked Wilkinson London. WD marked on opposite side with Enfield proof and bend mark. Pommel numbered 36 /124 with corresponding marking on scabbard throat. Blade in very good condition. Complete with scabbard in good condition.
