Early Australian made Pattern 1907 bayonet, no oil hole in pommel. Left ricasso nicely marked including Lithgow inspection stamp (A in star), Shield containing 1907, Lithgow and date 1918. Opposite side marked with two inspection stamps, 1907 shield and bend mark. Crossguard is stamped 6 D – arrow – D for Australian Department of Defence property 6th Military District. This marking is repeated on the top of the scabbard throat. Scabbard is the No. 2 Mk 1 double stitched model with seam on both sides. Locket has small frog stud.
