Originally an 1813 Indian Contract flintlock pistol this example has been converted to percussion fire possibly for Militia use. Retains all of the British Ordnance pistol proofs. Fairly crude gunsmithing to percussion firing mechanism but fitted with the complicated captive ramrod mechanism at the muzzle.  Barrel 9 inches, overall 15 inches. Bore .65 inch smoothbore, clear with signs of corrosion. Works on full and half cock but sometimes catches at half cock. Researchable and uniquely Canadian.
