This is the first pattern naval cutlass issued to British seamen. Original with Royal Cypher GR marked into the blade and still visible. Also viewer mark crown and arrow visible above the cypher. Blade is bright and very good condition. May have some dark spots or nicks on edge. Overall length 24 inches, blade is 29 inches long. Handle is all steel with original black paint remaining. Very unique Napoleonic era sword.
