Original Imperial German Cavalry sword with Prussian eagle on handguard basket. Grip is brown plastic in very good condition. Blade length 32 inches, 37 inches overall length. Each side of blade is etched with Regimental motifs and battle honours. Maker initials in rectangle H.W. Very good condition and quite a historically interesting sword clearly serving in WW1. Steel scabbard is painted black and likely done at the start of WW1.
