Description

First pattern 1898/05 bayonet with “high ears” remnant of removing the muzzle ring. No flash guard on back of grip. Maker marked A. Herder A. Sn. Solingen with crossed keys logo. Opposite side marked Amberg for the Bavarian Rifle Factory there. Spine is Bavarian marked with L over 15 for King Ludwig and date of 1915. Blade is in good to very good condition, dark, no nicks, sharpened. Steel scabbard also good to very good with uniform patina and no denting.
