Description

Original Tower of London manufacture with Crown over GR and Board of Ordnance mark on lock. Barrel is 27 inches long, bore .65 inch and good condition with some shine and evidence of corrosion. Overall 43 ¾ inches. Butt tang marked N.N. over V and the number 101, which is also stamped on the top of the barrel at the breech. Three closely spaced ramrod pipes, no ramrod present on this example. Lock is missing one spring and retaining post so it does not cock. Replacing the missing parts would remedy that. Very uncommon 18^th century musket.
