Original late war German WWII bayonet for the Kar 98k rifle shows poor quality finish. Maker marked ab44 for Mundlos 1944 manufacture year. Bakelite grips. Waffenamt at pommel still visible. Bayonet does not match scabbard which is Rich.A.Herder 1938. Comes with leather frog that shows arsenal repair. Overall very good original condition interesting example of declining quality of German manufacturing late in the war.
