German (Prussian) Model 1871 bayonet

Model 1871 rifle bayonet to fit the 11mm 1871 Mauser rifle. Maker is Gebr. Weyersberg, Solingen and Crown over Erfurt on opposite ricasso. Spine marked with royal cypher of Wilhelm I of Prussia and dated 78 (1878). Regimentally marked on crossguard 168.R.5.124. Very researchable. Blade is in good condition, full length 47cm. Not sharpened. Scabbard is regimentally marked 130.R.2.224 and has two spots of damage near tip. Bayonet fits scabbard very tightly and does not seat fully likely due to shrinkage of the leather with age.
