Description

Imperial German (Prussian) bayonet for 1871/84 11mm Mauser rifle and also 1888 8mm Mauser Commission rifle. Made in 1888 with royal cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm I of Prussia on the spine. Maker is Alex Coppel of Solingen. Regimental marking on crossguard. Steel mounted leather scabbard did not survive with this example.
