Description

German made in early 1930’s on contract for famous costume house in Toronto, Ontario. High quality German workmanship with Malabar Limited Toronto on ricasso. Not maker marked due to anti-German sentiment at the time. Blade is 31 ¼ inches and excellent with patterned etching but very generic design, no images or coats of arms. Interesting artifact for a buyer with Toronto connection. The Malabar contract must have included a number of swords but we have never seen another one so marked. No scabbard.
