Used on the Type 45 Siamese (Thailand) Mauser Model of 1903. Wooden grips are fastened with the same type of screws and escutcheons as used on the Japanese Type 30 bayonets. Original condition. Blade and metalwork is bright steel. Steel scabbard is blued and very good condition. Siamese characters on the ricasso represent R.S. 121 which corresponds to the year 1903 on the Western calendar. Pommel has Siamese numbers as the serial number of the bayonet. Interesting and uncommon Mauser bayonet.
