H&K designed the G3 as a German battle rifle in 7.62 NATO calibre in the 1950’s. Manufactured under licence by FMP in Portugal. Possibly sold to Rhodesia as indicated by the RA prefix to the serial number = Rhodesian Army. Dated September 1968 (9/68). Deactivated. The deactivation process renders this item with no moving parts. Bolt does not move, magazine is not removable, selector switch does not move. No licence required to purchase or own.
