German P08 Police Holster with tool, LWP 1940

Original leather hard shell type holster is in VG condition. P08 stamped. Uncommon maker logo instead of code is DLWP (Deutsche Lederwerkstatten G.m.b.H. in Pirmasens), dated 1940. Waffenamt is eagle over WaA416. One belt loop has been replaced. Tool is included and unmarked.

This example not only carries the German commercial proof of the Eagle over N, but also the military Waffenamt mark 359 for Walther that indicates this was taken into military use. It also has been fitted with the military grips as opposed to the commercial chequered ones. All matching numbers. Bore very good plus. Very fine condition with original finish.

Colt New Service Target Model

7 ½ inch barrel is very good, bore shiny with strong rifling. Timing and lock up are tight. .455 Revolver calibre. Factory chequering on hammer, trigger, cylinder latch, front and rear straps. Flat top receiver with rear sight adjustable for windage. Original walnut “Fleur de Lys” grips without Colt medallion are very good. Serial # in the 17XXX range.

Walther HP Heeres Pistole and holster

Austrian Eagle BH post WWII property marking on left side of frame just above trigger. Holster is original post war leather holster marked Geco for Gustav Genschow & Co., likely the supplier of the holster and pistol to the Austrian Bundesheer (Austrian Army). Pistol has US import mark discretely placed. Well worn but functional. Restricted.

Colt 1926 manufacture. This model was discontinued in 1927 when Colt introduced the Official Police Model. Original excellent condition. 38 Long Colt calibre. The 38 Long Colt was the official US military handgun caliber before adopting the 45 ACP in 1911. 6 inch barrel. Pre WW2 Colt high quality fit and finish.
