L59 drill rifle converted from Long Branch

British conversion of the No. 4 rifle to a drill purpose cadet training rifle done in the 1970’s. Purpose for this is researchable and meant to keep firearms out of the hands of terrorists or IRA. Extensive modifications including copper plated bolt, plug welded in barrel ahead of chamber and window cut into side of barrel. Wide white bands with DP on stock. Comes with original web sling and No. 4 Mk II Long Branch marked bayonet.

M16A1 Rubber Duckie with bayonet

Original cast resin copy of Colt M16A1 rifle with original steel barrel that mounts M7 bayonet (included). These training devices were made by larger US Army bases for training purposes. Some copies were all resin (plastic) and would not mount a bayonet or sling. This specimen has steel barrel and sling swivels. An original US M7 bayonet manufacuted by GENCUT with M10 scabbard and black military nylon sling has been added. Markings on butt stock TASO-FG is Training Aids Support Organization – Fort Gordon (Georgia). D9-1109 is unknown, possibly contract number or production run. DVC-T7 -83 is suspected to mean Device T7 and date 1983. Receiver casting has Colt logo visible and Colt AR-15 as well as PROPERTY OF US GOVT M16A1. Even the serial number of the original rifle from which this was cast is visible.

Sten Gun Mk II Early wrapped body

Very unique early Sten Mk II using pressed sheet steel body made by wrapping around a mandrel and welding the seam at the bottom. Researchable and detailed by Peter Laidler in “The Sten Machine Carbine”, page 299. Crude construction is obvious by welding of magazine well to formed body. Many of these “wrapped” Sten guns were gathered up and broken down for spare parts, the bodies destroyed. Uncommon specimen for dedicated collector. Deactivated, bolt does not retract. Magazine is removable and is deactivated. No license required to purchase. Purchased as deactivated so no deactivation letter with this item.
